Idaho’s Rare Earth Element Belt

Imagine an asset so vast that it could erase the national debt, buy every home in the United States and still leave trillions to invest in next-generation technologies.

That’s the vision Jim Rickards, former CIA advisor and macro authority, is bringing to light with his “American Birthright” thesis — and it’s not some far-fetched dream.

According to Jim, America is sitting on a $150-trillion treasure trove of minerals, rare earth elements and strategic resources buried beneath federally controlled lands.

For more than 160 years, this wealth has been locked away by legal red tape and bureaucratic inertia. But a recent Supreme Court decision has changed everything.

At the heart of Jim’s argument is a little-known provision in Title 30 of the U.S. Code, established by the 42nd Congress after the Civil War to support westward expansion.

This legal framework quietly set aside a “national inheritance” of mineral wealth, but for generations, it has remained untouched and unmonetized.

But the recent Supreme Court reversal of the Chevron Doctrine removed key barriers, making it possible for this resource to finally be brought into the open — and into America’s economy.

Domestic Mining Gains Momentum: Idaho

“Over time,” Jim says, “the estimated size of this fund has grown and grown… to the point where its raw value sits near $150 trillion and counting.”

That’s nearly four times the current national debt, and enough to take a 100% stake in every company listed on the Nasdaq, from Nvidia to Google to Amazon… and still buy every private home in the country.

And the timing couldn’t be more critical.

As global tensions escalate and supply chains strain, America’s reliance on foreign resources has become a strategic vulnerability.

Jim argues that unlocking this wealth could transform America’s economic destiny, reducing debt, strengthening national security and creating a new era of prosperity for ordinary Americans.

“This isn’t just a financial opportunity,” he says. “It’s a chance to restore America’s standing as a self-sufficient, resource-backed power”.

Recent political developments only underscore the urgency. President Trump’s executive order to create a sovereign wealth fund and boost domestic mineral production is a step in the right direction.

Companies like Idaho Strategic Resources are already moving aggressively to capitalize on these changes, launching ambitious rare earth exploration projects in Idaho’s REE-Th Belt.

Their strategy — focusing on high-value magnet rare earth elements and leveraging streamlined permitting — shows how the private sector can lead the way when regulatory barriers are removed.

The responsibility now falls to policymakers, investors and the public to seize this historic opportunity.

As Jim puts it: “We’re about to see a tectonic shift in who controls America’s future. And very few are prepared.”

For those willing to look beyond the headlines and understand the full potential of America’s hidden wealth, the “American Birthright” is the roadmap to a stronger, more resilient nation.
