SECURE THE WIDE OPEN BORDER!

We hope you had a wonderful Labor Day!

In case you missed Monday’s issue, we received overwhelming feedback to our question:

What does America look like if Trump wins?

Several readers, in fact, went out of their way to mention immigration policy.

Eric H. is representative: “The first order of business if Trump wins,” he says,“is to secure the wide open border and put an end to millions of illegal immigrants coming into our country.

“The risk to our economic, political and national security is unprecedented. The uncontrolled invasion at our borders — I view this as the primary existential threat to the future of our country.”

So…. How about this nonsense in Aurora, Colorado?

Aurora City Council Member Danielle Jurinsky has been one of the lone voices of reason in a community under siege by Venezuelan gang members.

For weeks, she alerted police and local politicians about the need for proactive measures to protect her constituents.

Liberal politicians, however, turned a deaf ear

Your Rundown for Wednesday, September 4, 2024...

“Politics is Being Played with People’s Lives”

That is, until the story of a tinderbox apartment complex — overrun by illegal immigrants — made national headlines.

On Friday, Aurora’s interim police chief and other members of law enforcement finally showed up at the complex.

Also on Friday: “Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman posted online that the Aurora City Attorney's Office will request an emergency court order to clear the apartment buildings,” CBS News says.

But according to Councilwoman Jurinsky: “I have had city leaders… essentially trying to make it seem like I've made this entire thing up.

“I think that politics is being played [with] people's lives.” [Emphasis ours]

She’s dead right.

Her assessment, too, is happening at the national level.

The Biden-Harris administration's lax border policies have resulted in an unprecedented surge of illegal entries, with millions of undocumented immigrants flooding into the country.

This influx has created a national security crisis, straining public resources. Everyday Americans are waking up to the need for more rigorous border security and enforcement of common-sense immigration laws.

Trump vows to take decisive action to protect our besieged borders — it’s still a mainstay of his platform — promising especially to deport criminal elements (including the notorious Venezuelan gang members in Aurora).

Trump's firm commitment to securing borders and putting America first continues to resonate with voters. We’ll see if his no-compromise approach to illegal immigration can appeal to voters across party lines.

Trump’s approach isn’t a break from capitalism, but a return to an earlier form of it — the 19th-century model that made America rich the first time around.
