Trump’s Got a Helluva Lot of Fight

With the benefit of some reflection, it all seems so clear now. America has two dominant political parties, but only one that’s currently viable nationally.

On one side, there’s a party of control, intrusion and overreach.

On the other side, there’s a party of Fight.

It’s not tough to figure out why the Fight party won.

Woke ideology, DEI philosophy, ESG nonsense… all went out the window this week.

The Democrats — at this moment — are not a national party.

Their ideas are so misaligned with mainstream Americans it’s generous to suggest Democrats are a regional party confined to the coasts.

The Democrats now face a long overdue soul-searching… at least two years in the wilderness. Hopefully, it does them some good.

The GOP, Donald Trump’s party of Fight… stands ready to now make good on an American Renaissance.

More on Tuesday’s major lessons below…

Your Rundown for Thursday, November 7, 2024...

“Are You Better Off Today Than You Were Four Years Ago?”

From Pennsylvania to Michigan and from Georgia to Wisconsin, the answer is a resounding no.

Inflation — soaring prices and a feeling of falling behind for many American families — sunk Kamala Harris.

The border, abortion rights, even “saving democracy” turned out to be far less important in exit polling than the economy and inflation.

James Carville’s famous, “It’s the economy, stupid” comes to mind once again.

Democrats' egregious lack of focus on mainstream America torpedoed the Senate careers of Jon Tester (D-MT), Bob Casey Jr. (D-PA) and Sherrod Brown (D-OH).

Joe Manchin (D-WV) technically retired, but his heir apparent didn’t crack 30% in West Virginia and will lose by a full coal mine’s worth of votes to Governor Jim Justice.

Colin Allred (D-TX), the Democrat hopeful to pick up where Beto O’Rourke failed in the hunt to knock off Senator Ted Cruz, lost by over 7 points.

Professional pollsters? This may be the last election where traditional polling is of any consequence whatsoever.

Professional pundits? The talking head experts on cable news? The coastal liberal elites?

They all got their asses kicked.

This is a wipeout last seen in 1980, the dawn of the Reagan Revolution.

If only we could be so lucky once again in 2024. A new American decade? This is the start of a new Trump era. Let’s hope he makes the most of it. The stakes have never been higher.

More tomorrow…
